Natural help for high blood pressure

It’s no secret that high blood pressure, or hypertension, is a serious problem in the United States. In fact, while fewer people are dying from heart disease and stroke, deaths caused by high blood pressure are on the rise. Making matters worse, some people avoid taking their prescribed drugs due to side effects.

Today I want to share my personal experience with reducing blood pressure.

My case was a little unusual because only my systolic pressure (the first number) was high. For example, my blood pressure would be 145/65. My doctor didn’t feel it necessary to use a drug, but urged me to try to get it down a little.

While I do now take a few products to support my blood pressure, the one I believe to be the most effective for me, and the one I tried first, is PeptACE from Natural Factors. It’s made of a specific combination of fish peptides (proteins) that, according to studies, works to lower blood pressure by reducing the conversion of the compound angiotensin I into angiotensin II.

What does this mean?

Think of pinching a garden hose while you turn up the faucet full blast—the pressure increases. This is what happens with angiotensin II. According to noted author Michael Murray, ND, by inhibiting the formation of angiotensin II, fish peptides relax the arterial walls and reduce fluid volume thereby reducing blood pressure. So taking PeptACE is like releasing your finger from the hose, which allows pressure to drop.

In clinical studies, PeptACE has been shown to be effective in about two-thirds of people, reducing systolic pressure by at least 10 mm Hg and diastolic by 7 mm Hg. It worked for me. In about two months, my systolic pressure was consistently down around 130/65—not perfect, but much better.
